Replace Webpack with Vite in Shopware Administration Panel
Switching from Webpack to Vite in the Shopware Administration Panel would significantly improve development speed and the developer experience. Vite offers faster builds, better HMR (Hot Module Replacement), and modern JavaScript tooling. Its optimized build process and plugin ecosystem make it a future-proof choice for modern frontend development.
By adopting Vite, Shopware developers would benefit from shorter feedback loops during development and an overall more efficient and enjoyable workflow. Additionally, it aligns Shopware with the latest frontend development trends, ensuring continued relevance and appeal to a broader developer community.

More options for the listing of variants
It would be great if there were more options for choosing which variant to display in the storefront.
For example:
- Lowest-priced variant
- Best-selling variant
- Variant with the highest stock
- General Rule Builder rules and filter options8 votes -
Structured data for AI readability
I recently stumbled upon this press release by one of our partners - basically an ad for their plugin: https://www.openpr.de/news/1299320/Shopware-Shops-werden-KI-sichtbar-mitho-veroeffentlicht-KI-Agentic-Commerce-Plugin.html
However, as Shopware wants to go ahead with AI massively, the proposed features seem to be basic when it comes towards being prepared for AI readability:
- structured product and category feeds in JSON format
- llms.txt and other manifests for AI
- precise microdata and JSON descriptions of variants, prices, shipping etc.

Improvements to the thumbnail generator
One customer noticed these limitations of the thumbnail generator:
Square dimensions are used by default. This means that images with different widths and heights can vary greatly in quality when portrait and landscape images are used at the same time. The media manager allows the width and height to be set differently, but thumbnails that deviate from this format will be of poorer quality.
In the customer's words:
A square display is rarely the case. The most common display is landscape format. For optimal quality, the shortest side should be used rather than the longest side.
This is the only…

VAT ID of guest accounts can't be changed via the shipping address.
If a commercial customer has an item delivered to another company in Austria and the invoice is sent to Germany, then the corresponding VAT ID should be taken from the delivery address - and not from the billing address.
The delivery address is the basis for which tax rate is used for the order. The VAT ID. field is not available under “Change delivery address”.
Registered customers change the VAT ID in the profile settings and cannot change it at all via the billing address, as guest customers do it.
The behavior should be the same for both account types…

Backend: Product Filtering and Customization - Filter Value
The product filters section needs more customization and can be optimized.
Here is an example of the main shortcomings:
1 - Allow the addition of custom fields and properties.
2 - Allow the use of operators such as: "Like," "=", "And," "Or," "Starts with," etc.
3 - Allow filtering by entering multiple values in a search field.8 votes -
Add filters for Exports according to Shopware 5
Many customers miss the filter functionality they know from Shopware 5 especially because the AI features do not work reliably.
For example the export of orders is often needed for a year or two and the amount of data grows very quickly.8 votes -
For cross-selling top sellers as a sorting option
With cross-selling, if you assign products via a dynamic product group, you can assign various sorting options to it.
With these sorting options, you cannot select Topseller as a sorting option, although Topseller is a maintained sorting in the standard system.8 votes -
Enhanced Pricing Flexibility for Subscriptions
Current Limitation
At the moment, the same base product price is used for both one-time purchases and subscription purchases. This limits flexibility in commercial models and pricing strategies.Requested Enhancements
Option to Hide the One-Time Purchase Price
It should be possible to hide the one-time purchase option entirely for products that are primarily intended to be sold as subscriptions. This would allow merchants to position certain products as “subscription-only” without displaying a regular purchase alternative.Individual Pricing per Subscription Interval
If the one-time purchase price remains visible, merchants should have the ability to define separate prices per subscription interval (e.g.,…7 votes -
Allow approvers to edit orders in B2B-Approval-Workflows
Problem Description:
In the current B2B approval workflow, users with an Approver can only approve or reject orders that are subject to approval rules.
Even if the role permissions are explicitly set to allow order-related actions, the approver cannot make any changes to the order before approving it.
This is a limitation for real-world B2B processes, where ordering mistakes are common and must be corrected by the approver instead of rejecting and recreating the order.
Current Behavior:
When an order requires approval:
- The approver can only approve or reject the order
- The approver cannot:
- Change product quantities…7 votes -
B2B: allow defining and using of multiple VAT IDs per customer account
Currently, only one VAT ID can be defined for a customer. This may be undesirable for some companies that are tightly related to other legal entities or have sub-companies they want to create orders for. In that case, multiple customer accounts would need to be created for proper invoicing.
The database structure already has a field to store a VAT ID with an address, so it would be useful to allow saving different VAT IDs depending on the address, so that customer can choose them during checkout.

Add promotion code via link
It would be a nice feature if discount codes could be redeemed via link in the same way that EasyCoupon does it for example. This would allow merchants to send mails already including a working link to get the customer shopping with their discount. For the customers, this would make the journey smoother because they don't need to back and forth to get some code and find the field to enter it and so on.
Plus, the customer is probably much more likely to actually complete the checkout if they see their shiny discount applied at all times right from…

Quick check for plugin and dependency updates compatible with current Shopware version
Right now, there’s no quick way to see which plugin or dependency updates are actually compatible with the installed Shopware version.
composer outdated shows all new versions, ignoring compatibility.
The Admin popup just says “updates available” without details.
It would be very helpful to have a CLI command and/or an Admin view that lists only installable updates based on the current Shopware version.

Hide Price and Add to Cart Button – Show “Request Quote” Only
In B2B scenarios, it is often necessary to offer products without displaying prices or allowing direct purchases. I propose adding a feature to the B2B Components that allows specific products to be configured so that the price and “Add to Cart” button are hidden. Instead, only a “Request Quote” button should be displayed.
This would enable merchants to:
Offer products where prices are negotiated individually.
Streamline the quoting process for high-value or custom items.
Improve compliance with B2B pricing strategies and contractual agreements. The configuration should be product-specific and easy to manage via the admin panel, ideally with bulk selection…

Avoiding errors with PayPal partial refunds
The PayPal API built into Shopware enables refunds with a single click. Unfortunately, in the hustle and bustle of everyday customer service, mistakes often occur with partial refunds—for example, instead of a $20 discount, the entire amount ($100) is accidentally refunded. This happens to every employee at least once a month because the entire amount is preset in the “Amount” field by default and it is easy to forget to adjust it.
Possible solutions:
1) The “Amount” field is empty and the amount must be actively entered.
2) The amount is highlighted in red.
2) A warning message appears: “Do…

Breadcrumb missing for dynamic product groups - categories / Breadcrumb fehlt bei dynamischen Produktgruppen - Kategorien

Custom fields for property group options
Forum thread: https://forum.shopware.com/t/zusatzfelder-fur-eigenschaften/64068/7
Issue Ticket that is "solved": https://issues.shopware.com/issues/NEXT-3710We need custom fields support for property group options. That was possible in Shopware 5 according to the linked issue ticket.
Also, the issue ticket asked for property_options specifically and the ticket was marked as solved without adding custom fields to those.
Please add that missing feature.

B2B Components: Assign existing account to company account
Shop owners occasionally report that the unusual process of registering as a B2B employee leads to them signing up normally through the frontend which creates a bit of a mess.
It would be helpful if we provided the functionality to assign normal customers as employees to a B2B enabled company account as this would save effort for everyone involved.
Taking this idea further and to avoid unnecessary manual action for shop owners, we could implement this feature for the B2B account itself so THEY can invite existing (already registered) accounts to their company and integrate them into the B2B structure.…
