Blog with Custom Entities
Blogs are an excellent way for businesses to tell stories and generate more traffic around their products. Currently, running a blog requires external setups, which often need coding skills, manual workflows and are disconnected from the shop system. Therefore we will provide an integrated blog functionality as a first example of using custom entities. This will enable merchants to write content, design and publish blog posts without coding skills.

I also have to push the topic again: we actually started projects years ago with the indication that we would probably be able to use Shopware's blog feature in good time before the project was completed. On Shopware's roadmap, the first two keywords are “transparency” and “planning security”. Planning security would be provided by naming a delivery date or at least a software version that you can rely on.
Our customers are like most of us here: in addition to the Shopware license, for which the promised blog feature was also a reason to buy, features still have to be retrofitted via mediocre third-party solutions.

Ich muss das Thema auch nochmal pushen: wir haben tatsächlich schon vor Jahren Projekte mit dem Hinweis gestartet, dass wir vermutlich rechtzeitig vor Projektabschluss das Blog-Feature von Shopware einsetzen können. Auf der Roadmap von Shopware sind als erstes die beiden Stichworte "Transparenz" und "Planungssicherheit" zu lesen. Planungssicherheit würde die Nennung eines Lieferdatums oder zumindest eine SW-Version bieten, auf das man sich verlassen kann.
So geht es unseren Kunden wie den meisten hier: neben der Shopware-Lizenz, bei der auch das versprochene Blog-Feature Kaufgrund war, müssen weiter über mäßige Drittanbieter-Lösungen Feature nachgerüstet werden.(Edited by admin) -

I find it very disappointing that the development of this blog module has been postponed. Having blogs is very important for most successful e-commerce sites.
Especially with the upcoming changes in how search engines like Google, Bing, and SearchGPT will primarily operate. SEO will soon be less important; contextual search will become incredibly important. Searching for a problem and finding a solution, for example, is something that blogs are very well-suited for.
In my opinion, Shopware is missing the boat here and is currently focusing on the wrong things. Of course, the AI features are nice, but they often work too limitedly to really add value; it's more of a 'gimmick' right now.
I also find it very unfortunate that there has been no clear communication about why blog development has been removed from the short-term planning and postponed.
It also appears that the number of votes, which is quite significant, and I even think this request is in the top 10, is not enough to push development forward and meet the wishes of your (paying) customers.

Besonders mit den bevorstehenden Änderungen in der Funktionsweise von Suchmaschinen wie Google, Bing und SearchGPT. SEO wird bald weniger wichtig sein; kontextuelles Suchen wird unglaublich wichtig. Beispielsweise nach einem Problem suchen und eine Lösung finden – dafür eignen sich Blogs besonders gut.
Meiner Meinung nach verpasst Shopware hier eine Chance und konzentriert sich momentan auf die falschen Dinge. Natürlich sind die KI-Funktionen schön, aber oft funktionieren sie zu eingeschränkt, um wirklich einen Mehrwert zu bieten; es ist derzeit eher 'Spielerei'.
Auch das Fehlen einer klaren Kommunikation darüber, warum die Entwicklung von Blogs aus der kurzfristigen Planung gestrichen und aufgeschoben wurde, finde ich sehr bedauerlich.
Es scheint auch, dass die Anzahl der Stimmen – die doch ziemlich bedeutend ist und ich denke sogar, dass diese Anfrage in den Top 10 steht – nicht ausreicht, um die Entwicklung voranzutreiben und den Wünschen Ihrer (zahlenden) Kunden gerecht zu werden.

Viele unserer Kunden (3x Beyond, 2xEvolve) sind sehr enttäuscht, dass das Thema Blog auf der Roadmap seit Jahren steht, aber immer noch nicht verfügbar ist und durch Plugins weitere Kosten entstehen und diese auch nicht immer den Anforderungen gerecht werden.

Wir warten schon sooooo lange auf dieses wichtige Feature!
Aktuell behelfen wir uns mit einem Plugin, welches zunächst frei und Opensource war und nun erheblich kostenpflichtig geworden ist. Es verhindert das Update auf SW 6.6.
Ich glaube, ich habe praktisch alle Blog Plugins durchprobiert. Das Manko von fast allen ist die Beschränkung auf ein Bild. Das ist wirklich extrem einschränkend! Die Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten der Blogeinträge sind hier gerade im Vergleich zu anderen Plugins sehr schön gelöst.

We have been waiting sooooo long for this important feature!We are currently using a plugin, which was initially free and open source and has now become very expensive. It prevents the update to SW 6.6.
I think I have tried practically all blog plugins. The shortcoming of almost all of them is the limitation to one image. This is really extremely limiting! The design options for blog entries are very nicely solved here, especially in comparison to other plugins.

Es wäre schön wenn dieses Feature sehr schnell kommt. Wir müssen jetzt erstmal ein BlogPlugin mieten weil dieses sehr wichtige Feature derzeit nicht im "Core" vorhanden ist

Für uns ist ein in Shopware integrierter Blog sehr wichtig um ein gutes Storytelling zu betreiben. Wichtig sind für uns:
- Grosse Freiheit bei der Gestaltung der Blogposts
- Produkte lassen sich Blogposts zuweisen und werden als Produktkacheln auf den Posts angezeigt
- Blogposts können auf der PDP als Preview angezeigt werden
- Möglichkeiten für die Kategorisierung und Filterung der Posts–
