Lack in search
This does not live up to the name, even as an advanced version. Again, not even basic functions like boost and burry, synonyms, redirects or result manipulation are included. In addition, the search cannot be switched off when using external tools (which has its advantages and disadvantages). You are forced to rely on an external solution, although this should be a matter of course for a store and belongs to the basics. Especially with the more expensive packages.

Many shop owners have "exotically" named products or product numbers or whatever else. Currently, our search (even the Advanced Search) offers too little control to reliably build a satisfying search configuration without employing work intense workarounds.
We should allow for more customization, like setting up how high/low we want to rank partial hits and so forth. Basically, think back to what SwagFuzzy did. It was confusing to setup for many people, but it had so many settings that you could virtually search for and find anything once you had it setup properly to your shop's needs.
Maybe a compromise here would be to have an "Expert Configuration" setting. Out of the box, the search does well as a blanket solution for most shops. Got something exotic? Wenn, turn on Expert Configuration and have finer control over the scoring.

While it might be the most common feature a shopping system can offer, for Shopware, search seems to be a mystery. The search function performs so poorly that I am regularly approached by customers about it.
For example, when a customer enters the manufacturer's name along with the product name, the search often yields no results. Conversely, sometimes keywords like 'Aurora' combined with a non-existent keyword result in absolutely no outcomes. I don't understand this. I had been using an xtCommerce Fork system for many years, which had a perfect search. Why can't Shopware achieve that? A highly functioning search would be my biggest wish. Everything else is nice to have."
