Introducing Search Query Analytics
I would like to propose a new feature for Shopware 6 that could provide valuable insights to shop owners: a search query analysis tool within the Shopware backend. This feature was available in Shopware 5 and proved to be a powerful way to understand customer needs.
Proposed Feature:
The feature should allow shop owners to view a detailed analysis of search queries made via the frontend, segmented by sales channel. Key elements of the functionality include:
Search Query Frequency:
Display the most common search terms entered by customers.
Include a count of how often each term was searched.
Search Results Analysis:
Highlight search terms that returned no results.
This helps identify potential gaps in the product catalog.
Segmentation by Sales Channel:
Provide insights per sales channel to help identify trends specific to different customer groups.
Historical Data:
Allow filtering of data by time range (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly).
Benefits for Shop Owners:
Identify Popular Products: Shop owners can see which products are frequently searched for and may require better promotion or increased stock levels.
Spot Missing Products: By analyzing search terms with no results, shop owners can identify gaps in their assortment and expand their offerings accordingly.
Customer Behavior Insights: Sales channel segmentation provides detailed insights into customer preferences and trends.
Data-Driven Decisions: Shop owners can optimize their product portfolio and marketing strategies based on real customer data.
