Search Statistics
Problem:
Merchants don't know which how the search is used by the customer. Therefore it's difficult to optimize and enhance the experience for end user.
Solution:
Provide data about most used keywords, errors, search volume, etc.

We have adjusted our roadmap and removed the feature from the “Planned” status. All topics related to this idea will be incorporated into Shopware Analytics in the future.

As a shop owner i also need a reporting on zero result searches with the keywords. So that I can identify which products my customers would like to buy but cannot find in my portfolio.

Any updates on this one, as it has the status 'planned' for a long time, but nothing happens?

I would like to propose a new feature for Shopware 6 that could provide valuable insights to shop owners: a search query analysis tool within the Shopware backend. This feature was available in Shopware 5 and proved to be a powerful way to understand customer needs.
Proposed Feature:
The feature should allow shop owners to view a detailed analysis of search queries made via the frontend, segmented by sales channel. Key elements of the functionality include:Search Query Frequency:
Display the most common search terms entered by customers.
Include a count of how often each term was searched.
Search Results Analysis:Highlight search terms that returned no results.
This helps identify potential gaps in the product catalog.
Segmentation by Sales Channel:Provide insights per sales channel to help identify trends specific to different customer groups.
Historical Data:Allow filtering of data by time range (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly).
Benefits for Shop Owners:Identify Popular Products: Shop owners can see which products are frequently searched for and may require better promotion or increased stock levels.
Spot Missing Products: By analyzing search terms with no results, shop owners can identify gaps in their assortment and expand their offerings accordingly.
Customer Behavior Insights: Sales channel segmentation provides detailed insights into customer preferences and trends.
Data-Driven Decisions: Shop owners can optimize their product portfolio and marketing strategies based on real customer data. -

This is a big problem and we are testing the search currently, because we can not understand the results.

As a shop owner, I want to see how users interact with the search so that I can optimise the search configuration for a better user experience.

Currently you cannot understand, why the search results are as they are other than trying them out in the storefront. This makes it hard to know how to optimize them
Therefore it would be great to have the possibility to have understandable results (maybe explained ranking, similarity catches etc.)
