Rule Builder - Rule type category
we are missing a rule-type "category"
So it should be possible to automate e.g. the visibility of categories in relation to products
- category visible when there is at least one active product
- visibel when products with special offers
- ....

Especially if you have teasers in your shop that point to an inactive category, it would be helpful to only display the teaser when the category is active. You can control visibility in the CMS elements, but basic elements for setting the correct condition are missing.

it should be possible to automate visibility auf modules (text, image etc for advertising) on category / Product listing dependend on category
