I believe it's essential to take the mail template editor to the next level. A modern and user-friendly solution would be a drag-and-drop editor, similar to Shopware’s CMS WYSIWYG editor. Tools like Brevo or Mailchimp serve as excellent examples of how such an editor could function.
Suggested enhancements for the editor:
Drag-and-drop functionality: Easily create and customize email templates without coding.
Template library: Access to a set of pre-designed, responsive email templates.
Variable blocks: System variables like {{ customer.firstName }} or {{ order.id }} can be added as draggable elements within a section.
Live preview & test send: Real-time email preview for desktop and mobile, plus the option to send test emails.
Version control: Template changes can be versioned and reverted if necessary.
Collaboration mode: Multiple users can edit the same template with features like comments and suggestions.
Such an editor would not only improve the user experience but also significantly boost the efficiency of creating and managing email templates.
