1. Improvement in the cms sidebar

   There is a small issue that I want to override a cms block, but this will not make it possible anymore for vendor plugins to override the child block. In the screenshot you can see that I want to make changes to the :disabled property, but I want to keep the child block as-is. So vendors can use this child block to override.

   I understand that the {% parent %} only renders the main block and not the nested blocks.
   I suggest to improve the value of this :disabled property to make a new computed function. So we can override this function without breaking the nested block.

   It would be something like:
   :disabled="!isDisabledSettingsTypeField(page)"

   The computed would look like:

   isDisabledSettingsTypeField() {
   return !this.isSystemDefaultLanguage || page.type === 'product_detail';
   }

3. No space between unfilled content blocks in the frontend

   We sometimes have the same layouts selected as templates in some categories. In a few category pages content blocks are not filled. But then there are big gaps. So if the content is empty, the space between the blocks should decrease automatically.

4. Default layout specific for different sales channels

   We have been waiting for this feature for a long time, a category layout created by us set as default layout, super, mega, awesome since SW6...... however, this category layout is applied to all our sales channels. This is unfortunately impractical as we have three different brand stores, and the category layouts can and should be visually different from each other.

5. Generating variants

   The problem: As soon as you have to generate more than 1000 variants in the Administration, it always terminates with the error message Serialization failure: 1213 Deadlock found when trying to get lock . The problem can be found via Google very often in relation to Shopware 6 also, that if you ever want to generate more than 1000-2000 variants, it constantly aborts because of a database error.

   It would be great if you can outsource the variant generation in the message queue, so that you do not have to actively leave the page open for hours for 100k products.
   Maybe it would also be a possibility to save the generation as a kind of "order" and then trigger it via the console.

6. Add newsletter subscription checkbox on account registration

   Add the ability to activate newsletter subscribe checkbox on the account registration (/account/login and /checkout/register). So a switch in the admin settings (probably Log-in & sign-up or Newsletter), when it's turned on, a checkbox in the registration pages appear to subscribe for the newsletter, just above the CTA.

7. Migration Assistant wrongly configures products with variants

   After using the Migration Assistant, the 'buy button' is shown in the product listing page even when a product has multiple variants and the main variant has stock>0. Only when the main product stock=0, the 'details' button is shown. In case of variants, the 'details' button should always be shown in listing pages, as without the customer will buy the main product when clicking on the 'buy button'.

   Cause: the radio-button 'main product' in the Shopware 6 backend that forces to show the 'detail' button in frontend in case of multiple variants, is not selected after migration. Normally, you have to select 'main product' or 'variant', it's not possible to leave both unselected. See screenshot.

   Shopware Support agrees that it doesn't function as could be expected and suggested to correct directly in the database (if you have the knowledge 'how to'). But in fact it can be considered as 'bug' in the Migration Assistant as it doesn't respect essential settings in Shopware 5 properly.

8. Product sets configurator

   Many Shopware users are lacking the function "product sets", which allows the buyers to pick a selection of products from a list of products on product detail pages. This function is available via extensions, but this is considered a standard functionality, that a Shopsystem should provide out of the box.

9. Searching and editing variant properties

   A store with many variant-forming properties cannot search efficiently for the required property set. For example, if I have the property black several times and now want to add a variant in white, I get all such properties displayed by searching for “black”, but the matching “white” is missing. I then have to scroll through step by step and check when a property set has multiple properties selected. Even with more than 10 pages, this becomes a tedious task, as I can neither enter “Go to page 26” nor search specifically for the name of the set. An improved search or selection would significantly improve handling.

10. Make use of a template override system

    Status quo
    Presently, if you want to make even slight changes to an existing theme, it is necessary to write a plugin/app for this alteration.

    In order to lower the "barriers of entry" for non-developers and to de-clutter the amount of necessary plugins, it might be a good choice to introduce a template override/overwrite system.

    Depending on the necessary resources, this might be applied either database of file based.
    File based: have a custom theme folder that only contains changed template files (in original structure) and will never been overwritten by an update/upgrade. If this folder contains any altered files, deliver them - otherwise make use of default.
    This way it would also be possible for theme vendors to offer adapted standard themes.

12. setting up Link-category could be transferred to other languages? (Language inheritance for landing pages)

    I first set up a category as link (f.e. a link to an entity, like "category") on my standard language storeview and save.

    But then I switch to the french language in the admin, the link has to be set up all over again.

    It is possibly intended behaviour with good reason, but one could say that shopware would be perfectly capable to re-use the link to the "french" equivalent of the attached entity.

    the answer would be: that is is not sure that is would be 1 on 1 that you would want it the same.

    While this is true, i think dat it could be possible to have it initially one on one, with te possibility to "overwrite" it on the other store-language.

    In tat case the user would'nt have to go trough '"double" work when in some cases multiple of these link categories would have to be created.

15. Pinterest sales channel: statistics + integration

    The integration only applies to the rich pins (structured data). Rich pins display price and availability on product pins. This means that neither statistics nor entry points for orders are visible.

    It cannot be seen in the orders which order was placed via the Pinterest sales channel.

    Without this connection, the entire Pinterest sales channel makes no sense at all. A Rich Pin plugin would also be sufficient for this.

    The aim should be to be able to see in the orders, for example with Google Shopping, that entries came via Pinterest.

    Die Integration bezieht sich nur auf die Rich Pins (strukturierte Daten). Durch Rich Pins werden Preis und Verfügbarkeit auf Produkt Pins dargestellt. Dadurch sind weder Statistiken noch Einstiege bei den Bestellungen sichtbar.

    In den Bestellungen kann nicht ersichtlich werden, welche Bestellung über den Verkaufskanal Pinterest zu stande kam.

    Ohne diese Verbindung macht der ganze Verkaufskanal Pinterest überhaupt keinen Sinn. Dafür würde auch ein Rich Pin Plugin ausreichen.

    Ziel sollte es sein wie z.B. bei Google Shopping in den Bestellungen ablesen zu können, dass Einstiege über Pinterest kamen.

16. Log events as an individual selection menu in Settings / System / Event log

    Regarding the logging events in SW6: From our point of view, it would be very useful to be able to select which events are logged and which are not when setting up Shopware. We understand that it is not the intention that a nonsensical number of entries should be recorded.     Customer migrations are tedious and involve a lot of work, as data records are often not transferred to Shopware 6 because they are missing from Shopware 5.

    For example, if the salutation of a customer is not filled in Shopware 5, but the field has become a mandatory field in Shopware 6. Or the first name.

    To make migrations much easier, the migration wizard should store a meaningful placeholder in such cases so that the data is transferred correctly.

    Within Shopware 6, you can then search for these placeholders and adjust the entries. This takes away the frustration that many customers experience during a migration.
